Jason & Sara

Not sure which one of us you should see?

We genuinely appreciate our differing views and practice styles. Neither of us are territorial over our patients, and in the spirit of Chinese medicine being a balance of Yin and Yang- the majority of our patients see both of us for what we are passionate about.

Sara loves all things women’s health. She’s spent the majority of her career as an acupuncturist helping women get pregnant naturally by regulating menstrual cycles, or through supporting them through IVF. If you are on the other end of that and having hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings due to menopause, she supports women through that daily. Sara also has advanced training in facial rejuvenation with acupuncture, because you need to look good to feel good!

Jason loves treating chronic pain, especially migraine headaches, neck and back pain. He used to be sponsored for inline skating, so he enjoys sports medicine and working with athletes. His three years in China were treating strokes and neurological disorders with acupuncture, and loves to incorporate cupping, tuina massage, and guasha with most of his patients. To balance his orthopedic style of acupuncture, he has been a dedicated Pranic Healing instructor and practitioner for nearly 20 years. He literally wrote the book on Pranic Acupuncture!

Both of us are equally focused on your mental and emotional wellbeing. In acupuncture, it is the Shen, or the mind and mindset that is most important to getting great clinical outcomes. We never shy away from getting deep with our patients, we know that life is messy, at times heartbreaking or overwhelming, but beautiful and meaningful at the same time. We’ve had to walk through the dark night of the soul multiple times ourselves. Behind our effervescent smiles and raging optimism, is a whole lot of shadow work.

So if you find yourself drawn to one of us or mesh with both of us, just know we are both 100% on your team.

chronic pain

We know how debilitating chronic pain can be. Whether you have something specific like sciatica, or vague diffuse pain such as fibromyalgia, our primary goal is to help increase your quality of life by reducing the level of pain you experience daily.

  • Chronic low back pain

  • Neck pain

  • Migraine headaches

  • Tension headaches

  • Arthritis (osteo and rheumatoid)

  • Post-surgical pain

  • Cancer-related pain

What we treat:

women’s health

One of the largest components of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine is women’s health.

Sara specialized for many years treating fertility, painful menstruation, hot flashes, and hormonal changes in menopause before she spent over a decade working at a fast-paced hospital. It has been her passion for her entire clinical career.

mental health

As mind-body practitioners, our goal is to always ease mental and emotional pain in addition to physical pain. The more mental distress we encounter, the more our nervous system heightens our physical pain. The same goes in reverse, chronic pain can lead to emotional exhaustion and increased levels of anxiety and depression.

We aim to serve our community through a trauma-informed lens, and that you are more than what has happened in your past or what you are currently experiencing.

Modern research has demonstrated acupuncture’s affect on regulating our nervous system to promote a parasympathetic-tone (rest & digest), and reduce sympathetic tone (fight, flight, and freeze).
