Menopause Support

Menopause—whether it occurs naturally, gradually, or as the result of medical treatment, marks a significant transition in the body. For some women, menopause is brought on abruptly through cancer treatment, surgical removal of the ovaries or uterus, or medications that suppress hormone production. Medically-induced menopause can feel especially intense, as the body has little time to adapt, and symptoms such as severe hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, pain, mood changes, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, vaginal dryness, and changes in identity or sense of self may arise quickly and persist.

At Atma Health & Acupuncture, we recognize that medically-induced menopause carries unique physical and emotional challenges. Our providers use acupuncture to help regulate the nervous system, ease vasomotor symptoms, support sleep, reduce inflammation and pain, and improve overall quality of life. Care is individualized and paced thoughtfully, especially for patients navigating cancer recovery, post-surgical healing, or long-term medication use.

While all of our practitioners are experienced in supporting menopausal and post-menopausal patients, Sara Bublitz, L.Ac. has a focused clinical interest in menopausal care across all pathways—including medically-induced menopause. Sara’s approach emphasizes nervous system stabilization, trauma-informed care, and restoring a sense of safety and trust in the body after major medical interventions.

Acupuncture is commonly used alongside oncology care, hormone therapy, or other medical treatments, and many patients find it helps reduce hot flashes, improve sleep and energy, ease joint and muscle pain, support digestion, and provide emotional steadiness during and after treatment. We are happy to collaborate with oncologists, gynecologists, primary care providers, and other members of your healthcare team to ensure care is safe, coordinated, and aligned with your medical plan.

Whether menopause unfolds gradually or arrives suddenly, it is not something you have to navigate alone. Our goal is to support your body through this transition with compassion, clinical skill, and respect—helping you move forward feeling more grounded, supported, and at home in your body again.
